Gretchen Selfridge
Planning and Finance

Gretchen advises organizational leaders on issues of finance, planning and operations. Over a 25 year career, Gretchen has led and scaled organizations at all stages of their development, serving as an executive, board member, consultant, and volunteer in the US and internationally. As a Controller and Financial Director with Sybase, Gretchen led finance and operations for an $800 million division with operations in 35 countries. Bringing her depth of experience to projects in international relief, Gretchen joined Global Strategies for HIV Prevention, where she managed the start-up logistics for programs to bring health care education and medicine to underserved populations in the developing world. Her 12 trips to work with medical partners in post-conflict countries in west and central Africa tested and affirmed Gretchen’s commitment to offer balance and encouragement to people in challenging times. As an advisor to philanthropic teams, Gretchen brings good sense, rigorous analytics, smart decision making, compassionate leadership and an ability to move things forward. Gretchen holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco and is a trained Conflict Mediator.
